In construction, heavy equipment operators (sometimes know as HEO’s) control the excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks and other large machinery that move materials at a construction site. Operating and technical engineers operate construction equipment such as heavy-duty trucks, cranes, pavers, rollers, and many other kinds of equipment used in constructing buildings, dams, airports, and highways.
