Job Description
Roofers remove roofs, prepare roof surfaces, and install new roofs. Commercial roofs are generally low-pitched roofs that consist of multiple layers of roofing applied with hot roofing asphalt. Residential roofs are usually steeper and the roofing material is mainly asphalt shingles. Tools used include hatchets, hammers, pry bars, tin snips, knives, and chalk lines.
